Media Production Workshops
Tired of the domination of the media by a few large corporations? Do something about it. Grassroots DC will provide you with the training and the technology to become a media producer. Grassroots DC students learn to produce short videos and radio segments that educate DC residents about issues relevant to low-income and working class residents. Students are encouraged to use the media to advocate for policies that prioritize human rights over property rights and make the city more welcoming and livable for those of us whose income falls below the median. First priority will be given to low- and moderate-income residents and/or those who advocate on their behalf. Much of our radio production and video production curriculum is available online,
Along with the on-line resources we provide, we also offer the following classes in journalism and video production.
